Five Seasons Garden maintenance is varied and interchangeable depending on each and every garden as every garden is different and requires different care and attention. Due to this, most maintenance jobs will be priced by the visit rather than per hour and there won’t be any surprise additional costs that you aren’t expecting. Generally speaking each maintenance visit will include clearing leaves and debris from patios, flower beds and lawn, strimming and hedge trimming where necessary, cultivating and weeding flower beds and mowing the lawn. However, each garden is different and each visit may vary depending on how I see the best way to keep your garden tidy and looking at its best. If there are any particularly large hedges or trees in your garden, the maintenance of these may be done on a separate visit when necessary during the year or at a time when the grass doesn’t require mowing. All depends on what plants and how things grow. And of course if there is anything in particular that the customer requires, please don’t hesitate to let me know and I can make arrangements accordingly.
Garden maintenance options
Weekly
This is for those of you who want their gardens looking very tidy all the time and have that freshly cut lawn look every week. If leaves fall in your garden they won’t be there long and generally speaking the grass will always look nice and tidy. As always, all gardens grow at different rates and will require maintenance to suit.
There will be some of you out there who regularly water their grass during summer and the grass grows rapidly and for those of you who do this, you may even want two grass cuts a week during these times. I’m sure your grass will be looking fantastic, but I do expect this is a small number of customers and is probably not going to be a requirement for most.
Fortnightly **recommended**
This is by far Five Seasons recommended choice of garden maintenance and easily the most popular option. From my experience, having your garden maintained once every two weeks is just enough to have your garden looking tidy without things getting overgrown or starting to look a mess. Usually by the time I get round every two weeks, the grass is losing its stripes and could really do with a mow, weeds are just about to start thinking that they may have a chance in the flower beds and leaves start thinking they can settle on the lawn. This option suits all, from the busy professionals who don’t have the time to garden, those of you who have children who want to get outside and play without getting caught on unwanted brambles or getting lost in tall grass, to those of you who want to enjoy their garden but can’t or don’t want to do those tiring laborious tasks anymore.
Monthly
This is for those of you who just don’t want their garden getting overgrown and out of hand. Weeds will start to grow, leaves begin settling on the grass and the grass may start looking a bit scruffy by the time the next visit arrives, but like I say, nothing gets out of hand and your garden will still be nice and tidy once Five Seasons have been. Gardening once a month will mean a little more work each visit and a little more garden waste so the price for monthly visits is typically slightly higher to reflect this.
Depending on what state your garden is in, to start off your garden maintenance I would usually recommend we do a bit of a clearance first of all. This helps to kick start the process and gets the garden into a more manageable state to maintain and you will see the benefits of Five Seasons garden maintenance much quicker.
